Hello College Republicans! This semester is going to be the best yet, because of young activists like you at the University of Illinois! The Republican Party is ready for its next generation of leaders and it begins today in the Land of Lincoln!
Our flag displays the immortal words: "State Sovereignty, National Union". These words are humbling in light of the recent fiasco starring former Governor Rod R. Blagojevich, a Chicago Democrat. His actions disgraced the Prairie State and should remind politicians across America that it is a privilege to serve fellow citizens, not an entitlement!
The Republican Party must return to its core principles of small government, low taxation, and freedom for all people. These conservative ideals are the bedrock for a successful and prosperous republic as "One Nation Under God".
On a final note, I look forward to working with all of you for another semester. Let's keep up the outstanding work that will move Illinois and the United States of America "closer to that shining city upon a hill".
